It is our understanding that the Kyrgyz Ambassador to the US recently visited Kyrgyzstan, advocating for a resolution to the current delays with the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Education. Joint Council has further confirmed that the US State Department continues its advocacy efforts with the US Embassy in Kyrgyzstan and the Kyrgyz Embassy in Washington, DC. Although there seems to be progress at this time there is no indication of when the issues in Kyrgyzstan will be resolved. Joint Council will continue to advocate for the children of Kyrgyzstan and a resolution to the current situation.
