Joint Council Celebrates World Food Day, Every Day

World Food Day, October 16th, is a worldwide event designed to increase awareness, understanding and informed, year-around action to alleviate hunger.

U.N. studies show that the world already produces more than enough food to feed everyone on the planet and has the capacity to produce even more, and yet…

World hunger organizations estimate that nearly 1 BILLION people around the world are chronically hungry.

Joint Council will participate this year to raise awareness about the children often the most vulnerable and hungry – orphans.  We invite you to visit our related website, AdoptionNutrition.org.

In acknowledgement of World Food Day, Joint Council is publishing interactive, downloadable placemats that focus on foods particular to different cultures! The placemats are designed for two different age groups and can be printed at home! Use the placemats as the focal point of your meals on World Food Day for a fun way to get your kids to think about food, healthy lifestyles, and those who do not always have food.
