Ethiopia: Restrictions on Foreign Aid Agencies

Ethiopia recently passed a bill imposing tight restrictions on foreign aid agencies, prohibiting them from a number of areas including human rights, equality, conflict resolution and the rights of children. The impact of the bill on organizations providing services to children is yet to be determined. The draft version of the bill is available on-line. Joint Council will continue to closely monitor developments in Ethiopia.
